JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Hospital CEO, this position will provide senior level leadership and guidance to the Hospitals directors and managers. In addition, incumbent will provide oversight and reporting for DSRIP, MACRA and other quality reporting. He/she will also provide oversight for revenue cycle, payer contracting and credentialing for Hospital. Directly manage the financial processes, budgeting and financial reporting for Hospital. Acts as a physician liaison with administration and the hospital board.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or finance required.
- Experience: MUST have experience in Hospital or Healthcare Finance to be considered. 10+ years in the Finance, Accounting or Audit field required. A minimum of 7 years senior level management experience required. Preferred progressive practical accounting experience in an accrual-based financial accounting / reporting environment with month end close responsibilities. .
C. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Ability to effectively and professionally communicate, both in writing and verbally, with physicians, management, vendors, consultants and other clients. Strong ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Strong analytical problem solving aptitude with creative solutions. Ability to organize work with large amounts of information efficiently, manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously with attention to detail in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment. Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and other accounting software packages. Experience with Microsoft Access is preferred.
D. Certification/Licensure: CPA preferred
